This picture was achieved by using a tripod or a table using a fast shutter speed.

Assignment 1: Blurred Motion

This motion is achieved using a tripod with a camera that has a slow shutter speed. It should be around 1/8.

I thought this assignment was a good review for the depth of field unit. It helped me finally figure out how to exactly to use depth of field and I didn't have any troubles with it. I personally liked the lowest f/stop the most because I like how only one object is completely in focus. I think it makes the photo really unique. Next time, I think I could focus better on the highest f/stop so it's clearer and more professional looking. Depth of field can be manipulated so you can put things in focus and out of focus. One would choose to manipulate the depth of field if they want to focus on a specific object and have that be the only thing in focus.

I think that my pictures came out better than I expected. I focused better and had barely any problems getting the kind of picture I was working to get. I didn't think I had much creativity, but was surprised when I came up with the ideas that I did. I tried to have a repeating element so I could combine them easily and then decided to do a couple fun elements of design for myself. I think I did a good job focusing and coming up with ideas. If I ever do this project again, I will make sure to try and come up with more creative ideas and try to focus on things that aren't as easy to focus on and also the black and white levels.
